Tammy is a graduate of the Grant MacEwan University Hearing Aid Practitioner program. She is a CHAPA , NBC-HIS and IHS/CHIPS member in good standing. Tammy also has an audiometric technician certificate and as of 2016, is CHAPA's Continuing Competency Program chairperson. Much of Tammy's experience comes from having a son with a severe hearing loss. He has spent most of his life wearing hearing aids and she has spent hours and hours in speech therapy, auditory verbal therapy to name a few. Tammy was also employed as a Learning Assistant working with and providing speech support to children with Autism and deafness/cochlear implants. She is passionate about serving people with hearing loss. Her goal is to educate as many people as possible about hearing loss, the importance of hearing tests and ridding "the world" of the stigma of hearing aids.
