We are located behind the downtown Safeway in the Discovery Plaza. In addition to comprehensive hearing assessments, we also provide the latest in hearing aid technology, Assistive Listening Devices (amplified phones, TV listening systems) and custom ear molds for noise protection, musician plugs, and MP3 players. If you have noises or ringing in your ears (also known as tinnitus) we can recommend strategies and specialized devices to help. As well, all our offices are equipped with in-house repair centres and allow for on-site maintenance services and many same day repairs. Our Staff

  • Darryl Walker

    Darryl Walker joined Canadian Hearing Care in 1998. He is B.C.I.T. graduate and is a Certified Electronics Technologist and a Registered Hearing Instrument Practitioner. Darryl has held varied management positions during his career in the electronics industry. He values his clients and has won a number of corporate awards for Customer Service. In November of 2007 he became a Licensed Hearing Instrument Practitioner and manages the Vernon clinic. Darryl enjoys working with clients and their families, using counseling and the latest hearing instrument technology to provide aural rehabilitation on an individual basis.

  • Valerie Lodder

    Hearing Instrument Professional

    Valerie is a long time Vernon resident, raising a family and living in Vernon for more than 40 years. She began her career with HearingLife as a Client Service Administrator in 2007 where she provided great client care management and scheduled patient visits.

    Val’s role changed in 2014 when she became certified as an Audiometric Technician and was responsible for work-related hearing testing. She became proficient as a Hearing Aid Technician, helping clients, and servicing and repairing hearing aids.

    Val continued her education at Grant MacEwan University in the Hearing Instrument Practitioner program and has completed her course of studies. She is a caring and understanding person and will work hard to help you hear better.
