Our safety measures
Take the online hearing test anywhere
Not only can you take the online hearing test from the comfort of your home, but it's free, and you'll receive your results within minutes.
How to prepare for the test
- Find a quiet place where you can take the test without any disturbances.
- If possible, wear a pair of headphones as this can improve test accuracy.
- You will have an opportunity to test the sound before you begin.
- Once you've done so, you're ready to start the test.
What is an online hearing test?
The online hearing test consists of three main parts:
- Everyday listening situations
Answer four self-evaluation questions about your hearing abilities - Tone testing
Listen to a selection of tones and see how well you hear at different sound frequencies - Conversation comprehension
Listen to a short conversation and respond to a few questions
If the online hearing test indicates that you may have reduced hearing, you will have the opportunity to book a free hearing test in one of our hearing clinics.
How can you use the test result?
Once you've taken the test, you will receive your results immediately. If your results indicate that you might have hearing loss, we recommend that you book a free, comprehensive hearing test at one of our hearing clinics.
As part of your evaluation, you will also learn about recommended solutions based on your hearing evaluation results.

Can you trust the online hearing test?
While an online hearing test is a valuable way to learn if you might have hearing loss, it does not replace a comprehensive hearing evaluation administered by a certified hearing care professional. An online hearing test can therefore be a good way to decide whether you should go ahead and book an appointment with a hearing care professional.
An online hearing test is a screening test and therefore has a binary pass or fail criteria. This will allow you to understand whether further testing is needed to uncover your hearing ability (by visiting an in-clinic professional for an in-person hearing test).
If the online test does not pick up on any signs of hearing loss and you are still concerned that you might have hearing loss, then we recommend that you contact your local hearing care clinic for a comprehensive hearing evaluation.

Why regular hearing tests are important
Living with untreated hearing loss affects far more than your ability to hear. It may affect your ability to socialize with friends and family, leaving you feeling isolated or lonely.
Hearing loss can also affect your memory and your mental sharpness. It may even increase your risk for cognitive decline.
The good news is that hearing aids can improve your hearing so that you can enjoy engaging in your favourite activities and socializing with friends and family. Today's discreet, comfortable and technologically advanced hearing aids are effective at treating hearing loss, and they can significantly improve your quality of life.
