Questions? We’ve got answers.
Even exciting change can be uncomfortable if you’re unsure how it will affect you. Understanding that you might have some questions, we put together a few answers to get you started.
Why are you changing your name?
For some time now we have been part of the largest group of hearing care clinics in the country. With the name change to HearingLife, our clients benefit from: access to great hearing technology, excellent clinical support, and the most up-to-date diagnostic equipment. As a group, we have grown to over 200 hearing clinics across Canada but we still operate under many different clinic names. This can make it difficult for our clients to know where they can go for hearing support should they need it when they travel or should they wish to refer a family or friend to us in a different province. With the name change, we hope to improve your entire experience, as all across Canada we unite behind one simple vision: To Help More People Hear Better.
Was my hearing centre sold or acquired?
This name change is not the result of a change in ownership. The rebranding is being done to update our look and unify a variety of brands across Canada.
How does this affect my account and service with my hearing centre?
There are no changes that will affect your account or services with us. As always, we are dedicated to providing the best hearing solution to the hearing loss, budget, and lifestyle needs of each client.
Do you still offer the same products and services?
Yes, we still provide the latest in hearing aid technology and best-in-class service. This name change is not affecting our product offerings or services.
When is it all happening?
By December 2017, we expect all hearing centres to have their name updated to HearingLife.
What about my hearing centre staff? Is that changing?
This name change doesn’t involve any change of staff in your hearing centre, or behind the scenes at the HearingLife head office. Our dedicated experts are still here to help you reach your full hearing potential.
In some places you were known as HearingLife Canada. Why did you remove the Canada from your name?
We are a team of over 400 very proud Canadian employees and our corporate name remains ‘HearingLife Canada Ltd.’ But in practice, we found the name just a tad lengthy when applied to signs, web addresses, email addresses, etc. Furthermore, while we love Canada, our central message--celebrating the rich, vibrant, full lives that healthy hearing supports--was getting overshadowed when a geographic designation was part of the name. So after much consideration we shortened our clinical name to a simple expression of what we offer our clients: ‘HearingLife.’
